I grew up in rural Alabama where money was tight, hard work was everything, and my Pentecostal grandpa taught me that if you want opportunity, you build it yourself.
That grit earned me a full-ride to the University of Alabama for engineering, the first big leap that changed everything. I was the overachiever type, founding one of the first multicultural sororities on campus and learning how to lead with both heart and structure.
After college, I spent nearly a decade climbing the corporate ladder in engineering and management, outworking and out-talking the boys club, until I realized something big: I was “successful,” but I wasn’t fulfilled.
The Leap of Faith
In 2020, right in the middle of a global pandemic, my husband and I bought a failing wedding venue that had never hit six figures.
Everyone thought we’d lost it.
But challenges are just opportunities in disguise.
My engineer mind saw the abundance of operational inefficiencies and marketing gaps immediately.
Within three years, that little venue went from struggling to hit a six-fiture year to six-figure months, hosting over 500 weddings in less than 5 years, and evolving into a full-scale, all-inclusive operation with a dream team that runs like clockwork.
The biggest lesson?
✨ You don’t need more venue remodels and expensive listings sites. You need to make better offers that meet and exceed market demand. ✨
✔️ Uncover the hidden profit sitting inside their existing business
✔️ Build packages that attract premium clients (without feeling salesy)
✔️ Create systems that protect their time, their energy, and their weekends
✔️ Lead their team like a true CEO, not a one-woman show
Through my coaching program, keynotes, and community at Vow to Grow, I help creative entrepreneurs trade burnout for balance, and hustle for harmony.
• Profit isn’t greed: it’s oxygen. It funds your team, fuels your freedom, and builds your legacy.
• Boundaries are brave. They make you a better leader, parent, and partner.
• Success without peace isn’t success. You deserve both.
• Systems are sexy. Structure creates space for creativity.
